A lunch break tranquility fix

Amidst the bustle of London’s Mayfair lies a tranquil oasis within the Hauser and Wirth gallery space courtesy of immersive artist Diana Thater.

Thater’s vision to recreate the Hindu pilgrimage site, the Galtaji Temple, near Jaipur in India is realised through a series of film projections and clever architectural trickery to transport you to a land far beyond Savile Row. You are invited into the stunning Galtaji Temple by the wild monkeys that inhabit its 18th century walls and share a glimpse into not only their world, but also their relationship with man, which has developed over hundreds of years.

The exhibition opened on March 26 and runs until 16 May 2015
