One Park Drive, Canary Wharf
Herzog & de Meuron’s first residential building in London; a landmark project marking the new phase of development for Canary Wharf Group.
The hypnotic circular geometry of Herzog and de Meurons residential tower is magnetic. Each floor plate, as well as being unique, has been rotated 45 degrees from true North, the result is an orthogonal stepped unit plan providing internal privacy while optimising external views. Inspired by this brave form Construct created a brand identity for this 483 apartment, 58 storey residential tower, subverting the typical approach to property branding with a layered combination of icon logo, man made marks and commissioned architectural portraits from illustrator Henrique Folster.
All united in a discrete palette of monochromatic and natural tones and with a refined aesthetic more reminiscent of an art gallery than a property development. One Park Drive establishes Canary Wharf as an aspirational residential destination, this tower and these apartments are firmly on the London design map, a modern icon for London living.
