Artist Plate Project
Construct were honoured to support Artist Plate Project uniting artists with a noble aim — to raise funds for The Coalition for the Homeless – the United States’ oldest advocacy and direct service organisation helping homeless individuals and families. Co-founded and curated by Michelle Hellman, APP has raised over $4.5m since 2020. This year, 42 renowned artists created limited edition dinner plates, which launched at Frieze New York.
We created a new identity to instil authority, consistency and an established brand image. The typography has an organic, humanist quality reflecting an artist’s touch, supported by a monochrome colour palette ensuring the artistry of the plates remains the central focus. We elevated the circle as a graphic device, representing both the simplicity of the plate’s shape, and the connection from artist to audience to charity mission.
We organised their content into a clear structure and created a journey that emotionally resonates with the audience, allowing for the Coalition for the Homeless to be brought to the forefront, creating a respectful platform to talk about statistics and history. The result is a dynamic and modern brand image that acts as a confident canvas to the art it showcases and sells.
