Gorgeous calligraphy on Construct’s designed invites for Mulberry/Frieze

Construct have designed complimentary tote bags, newspapers and a map to help visitors navigate the installations at FRIEZE New York on Randall’s Island. They are also available at all New York Mulberry stores from April 30 through May 7. Curated by Cecilia Alemani, co-founder of No Soul For Sale and curator for the New York High Line Art program, the non-profit organization will feature artworks and installations by eight artists around the outdoor space of Randall’s Island from May 4 through 7. Interactive access will be granted for all visitors, with tours given to local art students who have been invited and selected by Mulberry to attend. “Fashion’s love affair with art is nothing new,” said Georgia Fendley, Mulberry’s brand director and Construct owner. “We are delighted to support the first ever Frieze New York.” “We hope the newspaper we have created with the fantastic Frieze team will encourage a new audience to explore the surprises Frieze Projects has in store”. Mulberry has also invited our lovely friend singer Lana Del Rey to perform at a celebratory dinner on May 4.

The book was designed by Construct, and digitally printed by Gavin Martin Colournet Limited, on paper kindly supplied by GF Smith.

On Sunday Night, Mulberry hosted an intimate dinner at The Savile Club including a special performance from Lana Del Rey. Guests included Michelle Williams, Elizabeth Olsen, Anna Wintour, Alexa Chung and a host of others.

Monster cushions, padlock balloons, furry sofas and an array of beautiful golden accessories transformed The Savile Club into the most extraordinary lair ever seen. Check out the Mulberry Blog for further images.

Construct have produced a retro-style newspaper full of facts and fun, interviews and pictures from behind the scenes at Mulberry’s Spring Summer 2012 campaign shoot. The newspaper comes delivered disguised as a giant stick of rock!
